CU* Talk--Audio Response Program CU* Talk is our audio response program which allows you to access your account from the convenience of your home or any touch-tone telephone. With this service, you just call the toll-free number to do any of the following transactions: obtain current balances on your share and loan accounts, check to see if a particular share draft has cleared, transfer funds within your account, withdraw money from your share account by check and have it sent to you at your home address, change your personal identification number (PIN), check transaction history, and check dividend interest for current and previous years. All you need is your credit union account number, PIN number and a touch-tone telephone. Twenty-one locations in lower Michigan, two in Maryland, and two in Virginia are available to provide our members convenient places to complete common transactions. They are perfect for the college student or traveler. Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union is part of National Shared Branching. That means our members are able to transact their financial business at many more locations across the nation through a unique network of shared branches called Credit Union Service Centers. This cooperative effort enables over 1,000 credit unions to provide their members with many more locations where they live, work, and travel. Cards are available to members upon approval of an application. Members use their ATM cards to access their share and share draft accounts at machines bearing the name SC24 Member Access, NYCE or Cirrus. This card gives member access to their account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from almost anywhere in the United States and from many European locations. Click here for ATM Application For a small fee the Credit Union can transfer funds to or from most financial institutions. The easiest way to build your savings account and to make your loan payments is by payroll deduction. Your payroll department can automatically deposit your paycheck into your account(s) if your employer elects to provide this service. You may even designate exactly how you want your deduction split into your various Credit Union account(s). Don't wait in long lines anymore! We accept direct deposit from all government agencies, as well as any employer groups who offer electronic direct deposit. Click here for an enrollment form. Travelers Checks & Money Orders American Express Travelers Checks and money orders may be purchased from any one of our three locations. Sorry, these services are not available through the drive-thru. (Not available on Saturdays) Travelers checks and money orders are free of charge to our senior members. Also, if you are one of our senior members and have a special need, please let a staff member know so we can better assist you. Notary Service/Signature Guarantees Notary Service and Signature Guarantees are free to all Credit Union members. Bill Payment and Collection Service There are several insurance and utility companies that will automatically deduct payments from your account. If there is a payment that you would like deducted automatically, contact the credit union's accounting department to see if the option is available to you.
