Job Openings: Marketing Specialist

Location of Position:Alpena, MI
Salary:$19.84 to $29.76 based upon experience
Days:Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends
Hours:40 hours / week

Duties:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

 

    COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Maintains and grows positive member relationships through community engagement and financial education.
    COMMUNICATIONS: Formulates clear, accurate, and informative communications to the membership in accordance with policy, procedures, and the strategic initiatives of the Credit Union.
    SOCIAL MEDIA: Execute a comprehensive social media strategy that uses social media marketing techniques to increase visibility, membership, and traffic across all Credit Union brands. Manages social media properties including daily monitoring, posting, and content development.
    PROMOTIONS AND SALES: Assist in the implementation and promotion of credit union products and services. Support marketing and advertising initiatives by coordinating the set up and execution of campaigns across various channels.
    EVENT PLANNING: Assists in the coordination of credit union and community events including any necessary documentation or items of interest.
    Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1. MEMBER ENGAGEMENT: Performance is evaluated based on the ability to identify opportunities to grow member relationships. Performance can be evaluated based on strategic goal attainment, leads, web traffic, conversion rates, and the credit union's online review presence.
2. TEAM ENGAGEMENT: Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and communicate effectively with cross functional teams to grow and enhance member relationships and achieve 100% of the credit union's strategic performance goals.
3. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Performance is evaluated based on your level of engagement with community organizations and partners.
4. INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE: Ability to stay informed of industry developments and provide insights that can help the credit union remain competitive.
5. COMMUNICATIONS: Performance is evaluated based on the quality and quantity of communication delivery and outreach.

Additional Desired Attributes:

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
